Gourry is a swordsman that finds Lina being attacked by some bandits (not that she couldn't have handled them). After attacking them, he tells Lina that he will be her protector and follows her throughout the TV series. He possesses the Sword of Light and handles it very well. His strength did have some tradebacks. Gourry is incredibly stupid and often says stupid things and asks stupid questions. Also, like Lina, he eats enough food for an army and lacks any form of manners. But despite his lack of intelligence, he is an important member of Lina's group and is very loyal to Lina. |
